The Wits Law School invites applications for appointment at Associate Professor level, seeking a dynamic teacher and active researcher.
The School is research-intensive and committed to academic excellence. The position offers substantial opportunities to engage in research and postgraduate teaching.
Applications are welcome from excellent academics / practitioners to teach in, among others, the following areas : delict, criminal law, criminal procedure, administrative law, taxation, banking law, labour (especially collective labour), company law, evidence, succession, family law, law of persons, insolvency and customary law.
At the level of Associate Professor, the candidate must have a PhD and a significant record of refereed publications as well as a proven track record of effective teaching.
The post of Adjunct Professor is at the Associate Professor level and provides for the appointment of candidates who are distinguished in a professional field, but who have worked in a context where they were not expected to be active as researchers.
