The Wits School of Education is seeking to appoint a suitable candidate at Lecturer level in the Division of Languages, Literacies and Literatures to contribute to teacher education, postgraduate programmes and research activities.
Areas of expertise must be in Sesotho and Sesotho Education generally.
Qualifications and experience :
The successful applicant must meet the following criteria to be appointed :
A PhD in Sesotho Home Language or Sesotho First Additional Language (or progress towards one for Assoc Lecturer level).
Potential to become a researcher
Potential to teach and supervise postgraduate research
Experience of teaching Sesotho Home Language or Sesotho First Additional Language at school and / or in higher education.
Ability to contribute to curriculum innovation and design and in the implementation of new courses.
Ability to contribute to generic language methodology courses and general literacy courses would be an advantage.
Ability to contribute to transformation in the School and University.
Probation The successful candidate will be on probation for three years.
Remuneration : dependent on qualifications and experience
