Sales & Marketing
Customer Relationship management
Marketing, Promoting and Selling Yara Cape’s products to customers to fulfil the plant nutritional needs of their crops.
Manage / achieve marketing and sales objectives / targets for his area.
Promote / Drive the sales of Yara OPP products (Yara Vita, Yara Liva, etc) for his area according to his targets.
Taking of soil & leaf samples on farms.
Agronomic recommendations to his customers.
Farm visits & plant nutritional advice to customers.
Converting recommendations to a sale and order for Yara products.
Field Inspections where needed.
Excellent after sales service in terms of product, administration, agronomic service etc.
Attend to customer complaints and refer to management where needed.
Be part of the community where he operates and represent Yara at local agricultural / farmer events / activities.
Regular communication / feedback to marketing management on relevant market conditions and topics.
Attend Yara Cape Agronomists meeting every second month.
Do monthly Sales forecasts by product on a 12 month rolling basis.
Complete sales orders with all relevant information needed and within company sales conditions & terms and submit.
Get authorisation from marketing manager for transactions outside normal terms.
Arrange for products to be delivered according to customer needs / preferences.
Manage his SAP order bank according to the company rules / guidelines.
Fill in all relevant forms in case of customer complaints / claims.
Follow up account queries with the Finance department and get approval for corrections if valid.
Do plant nutritional recommendations on products, quantities, etc. according to industry norms and Yara guidelines.
Collect debtors for sales generated.
Manage overdue debtors list and take responsibility to assist debtors department to collect them.
Assist in obtaining updated customer credit applications where / when applicable.
