Description : Sales Engineer / TechnicalSales Rep

Job Purpose :

The Sales Representative / Engineerwill focus on the activity of sales within a targeted framework of markets andcustomers to achieve annual sales and margins forecast.

The Sales Representative / Engineerhas to be dynamic in their sales activity, while being concise and professionalin a business environment

Main Responsibilities & Key Result Areas

Develop new and maintainexisting customer base

Develop and maintain sales action plans

Meet weekly sales call target / KPI’s

Maintain sales plan as a working document

Weekly sales plan to be issued on a Monday Morning detailing plan for that week

Organise own sales activities under minimum supervision

Ensure all sales actions are carried through and completed

Investigate new business opportunities; identify new markets.

Attaining customer satisfaction at all levels of our client base

Customer liaison and entertaining

Work as part of a team

Coordination of issue of sales quotations and technical proposal tokey / assigned / new customers

Maintaining quotation register up to date for sales activity

Maintaining an up to date visit reports, customer and competitor information

Promoting other company product lines / division where opportunities areidentified

Monthly report with overview of previous and forthcoming month sales activityand plan respectively

Liaison with clients on performance and completion of First Point AssessmentQuestionnaires

Matric

ND : MechanicalEngineering / Mechatronics

Experience, Competence,Skills & Knowledge

Essential

Minimum of 5 years salesexperience in a hydraulic or pneumatic environment.Sufficienthydraulic hose, fittings and general component sales knowledge

Must have a validdriver’s licence

Sufficient pneumatic component sales knowledge

Health and safety legislation knowledge

Computer literate

Willing and able to travel

Proven track record of delivery

Good organizational skills

Capable of working without supervision

Have a methodical and dynamic approach to sales

Strong customer relations experience

Demonstrate method of monitoring and tracking sales effort

Good industry network

Trustworthy with a confidential nature

Good communication skills

Preferred

Proficiency in English and Afrikaans will be advantageous

Good understanding ofhydraulic system and applications

Good understanding ofpneumatic system and applications
