An experienced Technical Specialist / System Administrator is required to provide technical skills and support in a hosting environment.
The incumbent will be required to perform back-end System, Server & Networking support across a range of technologies & disciplines as well as to perform direct end user Desktop support in Windows environments.
The job will suit a Technical Specialist with skills in system support, user support and (preferably) experience in a datacentre environment.
Strong troubleshooting skills are required with a focus on customer service.

Windows Server administration, configuration & support including :
In depth Active Directory Group Policy Configuration & Management.
In depth DNS, DHCP Configuration & Management.
In depth backup knowledge & skills.
Patching & Update Management.
Networking implementation, administration and support including :
In depth networking configuration & support.
In depth Firewall configuration & support.
VMware Server configuration & support including :
Experience of installation & configuration (vSphere & vCenter).
Experience in day to day management of a vCenter environment (provisioning, maintenance & support of Guest machines).
Infrastructure implementation & Hardware Management including :
Working knowledge of Server Infrastructure (HP Blades preferable not essential).
Working knowledge of Storage Technologies (HP EVA & 3 Par preferable not essential).
Working knowledge of Networking Equipment (HP Switches preferable not essential).
Working knowledge of Wireless Equipment.
User Support including :
Attending to user support calls (remote and on-site).
Installing & Support of Windows Professional Editions.
Patching & Update Management.
General Application Support (typically Microsoft Office Suite).
