Introduction As the Digital Content Marketer for the Digital Marketing team, you will get the opportunity to work in a highly motivated team on a number of different projects while being exposed to a great deal of Digital Marketing concepts.
This role will require an ability to work on a variety of different websites while moving between multiple projects.
This position will be responsible for checking and managing the quality of content with regards to grammar, style, SEO and factual elements, as well as create site navigation elements such as breadcrumbs and side navigation to name a few.
The ideal candidate will have an eye for detail and must be able to work quickly and accurately under pressure. The candidate will be reporting to the Digital Onsite Manager.
Job Functions Marketing,Quality Control Industries Marketing Specification Duties will include, but not limited to :
Review briefs with brief owners to ensure no miscommunication occurs.
Proofreading and editing of content pieces as per the job spec and / or brief.
Checking facts against source material, doing independent research as needed.
Checking for the presence of and or create designated SEO elements within content pieces such as, URLs, Page Names, Breadcrumbs, Sidebar Links.
Reviewing newly added or edited pages on a staged environment to ensure content is ready before publishing.
Uploading and publishing of content pieces through various CMS tools.
Manage content pieces through different phases of production, including translations and QC requests.
Maintaining websites by implementing regular spot checks on spelling, grammar, format, style, design and SEO elements.
Tracking, updating and delivering of status reports on any past, current and upcoming content projects.
Ensuring content is in line with the style guide and brand voice of the specific business entitiy.
Owning and ensuring the quality of all content pieces are maintained at the highest of levels.
Owning the responsibility and accountability that goes with managing content pieces as an entirety.
Ensure deadlines are met, or that sufficient notification is given to relevant stakeholders to manage expectations correctly.
Requirements Non-negotiables :
Relevant tertiary qualification (Linguistics, Journalism, Media, Digital Marketing or related)
Demonstrates consistent behaviour aligned to the Organizational Culture
Minimum of 12 months working knowledge of production processes for websites and blogs
Understanding and / or experience with HTML and Website Development
Editing or proofreading experience
Basic SEO and / or Digital Marketing knowledge
Knowledge of CMS tools
Advantageous Requirements :
Knowledge of the various business brands, products and infrastructure systems within the company
Working knowledge of Excel spreadsheets, graphs and formulas
Knowledge of online marketing and writing for websites
Previous experience in a Digital Marketing environment
