The successful candidate will be responsible for but not limited to the following duties :

  • Full accountability and management of assigned portfolio of Key Accounts
  • Responsible for the development and achievement of sales through distributor.
  • Responsible for shelf health in all accounts through the close liaison with field selling division.
  • Focusing on driving trade advertising activities to ensure growth of accounts.
  • Act as the key interface between the customer and all relevant divisions within the account business.
  • Preparation of business plans & business reviews for all accounts.
  • Negotiating and signing of Trading Terms agreements
  • Managing Trade Advertising Budgets
  • Prepare and deliver effective selling presentations that implement approved Customer Business Plans and employ effective negotiating strategies
  • Playing an integral role in ensuring roll out of new product launches and ensuring product listing in all accounts.
  • Develop timely and accurate forecast (volume and value) for assigned accounts and revise throughout the year.
  • Identify and grow opportunities within portfolio and collaborate with sales teams to ensure growth attainment.
  • Develop a trusted advisor relationship with the Sales Manager, Customer stakeholders and Executive's.

    The Key Account Manager will be based in Johannesburg and will have the following attributes :

  • Matric
  • 5+years relationship sales / key account management experience
  • Knowledge of Ethnic Hair Care Products is imperative
  • Strong sales track-record Advanced understanding of product and process
  • Good understanding of the FMCG / Retail environment
  • Good verbal and written communication skills - formulate strategy.
  • Tireless, results driven, strong sales drive and hunter mentality
