The Kyalami Schools Group consists of three high-performing independent schools, namely, Beaulieu Preparatory, Kyalami Preparatory and Beaulieu College all located in the pristine countryside north of Johannesburg
Due to the growth of our school applications are invited for the following new part-time permanent position which is available from 1 January 2019
The requirements for this position are as follows :
Provide Psychological services to our pupils, promoting holistic wellbeing and development.
Practice evidence based counselling and psychotherapeutic skills
Adhere to the ethical requirements prescribed by the HPCSA
Organise programmes that foster social development
Organise and facilitate therapeutic groups
Liaise or work directly with all the specialists and professionals concerned on specific cases and programmes as required.
Implement student support programmes
Administer psychological assessments interpret results and provide regular feedback as well as written reports
Take minutes, create and maintain pupils’ records
Advise colleagues and parents on implementing proposed strategies
Master’s degree in Psychology
Must be registered with a Health Profession Council of South Africa (HPCSA)
Experience in working with pupils and able to engage at all levels
Experience working within a school system is preferable
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to develop a quick rapport with individuals and be perceived as trustworthy
Strong organisational, time management and administrative skills
Attention to detail necessary as well as the ability to manage multiple tasks.
