They are currently looking for a Senior Business Intelligence Developer to join their team.

Job description

This role requires a motivated, energetic, inquisitive and highly numerate person who has a solid technical base but also possesses an appreciation for numbers and understands the value that can be derived from interrogating them.

This role performs ETL tasks, Cube creation and maintenance, investigations on data integrity and identify gaps for improvement for the business and the team itself.

This role require a thorough understanding of our business, its needs and weaknesses in order to provide value through the use of Analytics and BI.

Duties will include, but not limited to :

  • Integration of new sources of data into company databases so that it can also be analyzed and included in relevant reports
  • Integration of data into relevant workflow processes, with the specific aim of continuously improvement and data optimization
  • Conceptualizing, defining and delivering new reports as well as improving existing ones
  • Analysis of data from various sources in order to ensure that the business acts proactively on the information at its disposal
  • Continually searching for new and useful ways to obtain, integrate and analyze data that is relevant to the company’s business model
  • Education of report end-users so as to ensure a maximum spread of expertise around the company
  • Driving new solutions based on business requirements

  • A degree with majors in Information Systems / Mathematics / Statistics / Engineering / Business
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in process driven optimization relating to business reporting and analysis
  • A minimum of 5 years’ strong SQL experience with specific reference to creation of stored procedures, functions, automation of jobs, performance tuning and optimization, RDBMS, error handling and logging, incremental data loading, change tracking / cdc. Etc.)
  • A minimum of 4 years’ SSIS experience with specific reference to creation of complex ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, error handling, loading data from various sources (flat files, xml), integration of new data warehouse, precedence constraints, parameterized connections
  • A minimum of 4 years SSAS experience with specific reference to creation, implementation and maintenance of multidimensional cubes, MDX and DAX
  • Advanced MS Excel
  • Knowledge of Enterprise Data Warehouses
  • SSRS (demonstrated experience in complex reports, master reports and cube reporting)
  • Knowledge of and experience with Enterprise Data Warehouses
  • Experience in the following is advantageous
