  • Reportingto the Area Head, the Branch Manager is responsible for leading a specifiedbranch within an Area with regards to customer service and profit.
  • Key Responsibilities :

  • Deliveringon all performance targets for the allocated branch (end to end accountabilityacross
  • scorecardelements).
  • Managesales and service agenda for the branch by leveraging market understanding anddigital banking priorities to provide input into target setting and business planningprocesses.
  • DriveCustomer Experience within the Branch.
  • Identifyopportunities for business growth within the branch, across the area and acrosschannels outside of the branch network e.
  • g. self service channels, externalsales.

  • Identifyopportunities across business units (product lines) and on identifiedopportunities.
  • Identifyand integrate risk in the branch by managing and integrating the day to dayoperations and identifying operational risk issues and opportunities forimprovement, acting on these in a timely manner to deliver against key metricsof service, productivity (cost to serve), conduct etc.
  • Manageeffective resource / capacity planning and a multiskilling plan and approachfor the branch that ensures a consistent balance between service, delivery andcost to serve.
  • Facilitatecollaboration between team members and across the customer network toeffectively deliver on market opportunities presented for multichannel andcross product line growth in the interests of One Absa.
  • Coachsales and service teams towards the effective delivery of branch performanceand service excellence targets.
  • Createa high performance culture and high engagement work environment within the branchleveraging routine and effective coaching for performance techniques.
  • Activelyengage customers and community by effectively building networks & network engagementroutines.

  • Education and Experience required :

  • Aminimum of a B Comm Degree or an equivalent NQF level 7 qualification
  • FAISCompliant (Qualification and Regulatory Examinations passed)
  • PostGraduate qualification is preferred
  • 5-8years' retail banking experience that includes management responsibilities,strong team
  • leadershipand risk management
  • Branch / locationmanagement experience is preferred
  • Proficientin MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) and the Internet
  • Nocriminal record
  • Preferencewill be given to South African Citizens and Permanent residents of South Africawith
  • proofof permanent resident status
