Job Purpose The main purpose of the job is to take responsibility for the delivery of various projects run in the CFO Business Enablement area.
The role also requires the head to play a pivotal role in the strategic vision formulation process for the Absa CIBW product control group and the conceptualisation of solutions that result Key Responsibilities
Optimal staffing model and allocation of business resources for each project ensuring the correct mix of skill set and personality type.
Ensuring appropriate skill level in business project teams that cover the main project disciplines (analysis, subject matter expertise, change management and integration and testing).
Negotiation with IT management to ensure the correct IT resources are allocated to the project set and the timing of availability is agreed.
Interaction with various areas across the Absa and Barclays Group in order to obtain and understanding of the impact these areas have on the CIBW target operating model.
Formulation and execution of formal and informal communication plans for all stakeholders relating to the project set.
Managing steering committee discussions.
Work closely with the Head of PCG Change to formulate and execute on the people management strategy for the enablement group.
Anticipate planning needs over the medium term given project set.
Motivate staffing needs to CIBW Product Control Management in order to execute staffing plan. Motivate for consultancy staff where the need arises and obtain the necessary approvals (via CAF process).
Ensure the team displays values-aligned behaviour at all times.
Embed formal Performance Development and informal coaching in the team.
Deal with non-performance in team members effectively.
NQF Level 7 Honours / Master’s Degree / Chartered Accountant preferred.
6 or more years’ experience, 4 of which are change related and a minimum of 2 year’s business experience in an Investment Banking environment gained in a Finance, Product Management or Front / Middle Office role.
