The Mercury Enablement Manager is the point of contact and escalation for various Mercury initiatives in deployed and deploying countries in Africa.

Including but not limited to SDA, Security and Controls and Testing.

Mercury SDA Enablement : Deployed Countries

Deployed Countries

  • Manage relationship with Mercury Support Team (MST) key contacts for all matters during Hyper-care and Business AS Usual Incidents
  • Provide on-site support for Engagement to Invoice requests for South Africa
  • Point of contact and escalation for Mercury Integrated Support model
  • Coordinate and deliver Mercury onboarding and refresher training
  • Deploying Countries

  • Provide training and support to Country Analysts throughout deployment supporting Configuration, Data Conversions, Training, Cutover and Hyper-care
  • Mercury GRC (Security & Controls) :

    Deployed Countries

  • GRC SAFA Champion will provide local / regional business operational knowledge in their country or region
  • Deeper knowledge of GRC than the end users and managers which will enable them to provide onsite support on an as-needed basis.
  • This role typically requires a good deal of time during the initial go-live then normalizes and requires only ad-hoc advice.

    Deploying Countries

  • Provide inputs which derive role mapping rules
  • Coordinate identification of Single Point of Contacts (SPOCs) for each user population group to attend and share input about the nature of the work
  • Provide the latest user role mapping data by consolidating inputs from all SPOCs
  • Review and help mitigate SOD / SA risks
  • Provide sign off on GRC risks and mitigation controls
  • Connect with MST to provide support during Hyper care
  • Work with Support team as super users to resolve issues
  • Document and update issue tracker
  • Provide business sign off on end of Hyper care
  • Region Mercury Testing Coordination :

    Deployed Countries

  • Manage and coordinate all Region Team testing related to production targeted releases; work with functional teams to define detailed testing strategies
  • Manage and track testing progress, log and track defects that are identified as part of the testing process
  • Escalate testing issues and risks
  • Identify local change impacts that require strategic interventions
  • Deploying Countries

  • Work with the Country Analysts in planning test execution plan
  • Coordinate super user and end-user testing activities
  • Work with Country Analysts to identify users for SIT and BSR cycles
  • Work with Country Analysts to coordinate testing logistics (user system access, environment setup, computer access, etc.)
  • Manage and coordinate all Region Team testing phases; work with project teams to define detailed testing strategies
  • Manage and track testing progress, log and track defects that are identified as part of the testing process
  • Escalate testing issues and risks
  • Analytical / Decision Making Responsibilities :

    Knowledge and Skills Requirements :

  • Advanced Mercury knowledge is necessary
  • Knowledge of GFIS is preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal, client service, communication, organizational, and project management skills
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Able to handle conflict situations and resolve issues satisfactorily
  • Culturally sensitive, capable of handling interactions with a global mind-set
  • Excellent people management skills
  • Other Requirements :

  • Ability and flexibility to work in a virtual environment across multiple time zones
  • Flexibility to work non-standard hours in supporting global production systems
