POSITION SUMMARY

Support the Digital & Social Media Manager in managing daily consumer engagements across the various Social Media properties of ELC in South Africa and SSA

Coordinate asset management with local and international Brand teams; perform planning, scheduling and monitoring of communication plans.

Support the Digital & Social Media Manager and Marketing Brand teams, in briefing publishers and media owners on digital media campaigns, coordinate planning of content marketing campaigns, facilitate production of content, support events and consumer activation

Liaise with bloggers and Short Lead PR individuals, providing a support function to Brands Consumer Marketing Managers and ensuring timely and adequate seeding of information to increase digital traffic to -

and engagement with - ELC SA online and social media properties

KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Brand fundamentals

Stay on top of the Brand’s key attributes as seen by consumers, bloggers and influencers

Understand the Brand’s channel dynamics and how consumers experience the Brand

Understand the Brand’s competitive landscape and the key challenges to overcome, as expressed by SOV, sales data, and / or as expressed by opinions of the key influencers

Social and digital marketing

Help develop the Brand’s social and earned and owned (social networks) digital marketing strategy

In Close partnership with Brand's Consumer Marketing Manager, translate the strategy into annual, quarterly / monthly themes.

Develop weekly / daily posting routine / themes in line with the Brand’s strategic priorities

Maintain close eye on competitive communities and practices; translate them into actionable opportunities for the Brand(s)

Works with designated agency to execute agreed social / digital priorities

Track Brand social / digital investments and measure their return separately for each Brand; develop actionable recommendations to continuously improve the programs’ effectiveness

Monitor and manage the influencer and opinion leader for the Brands

Consumer / Digital First Change Agent

Share best practices within the Affiliate and across other Community coordinators

Track performance vs. Regional KPIs and success criteria in order to identify continuous improvement opportunities

Act as role model for Consumer first and Digital first principles

Ensures Customer and Market Growth

Support the Digital & Social Media Manager in monitoring the various Social Media properties of the affiliate, ensuring fast and adequate response turnaround time to consumer queries / complaints (facebook / Twitter / Instagram / Youtube / Pinterest / etc )

Provide incremental local content production capability to support individual Brand’s media strategies via their respective SM platforms in accordance with regional and global Brands guidelines

Improve share of voice of ELC Brands within bloggers / online content producers / Short Lead PR influencers by coordinating regular seeding of Brands communications, optimized for digital consumption and sharing

Support and monitor Local Retailers digital / social media properties to ensure adherence to Brand Equity principles, and provide technical / media assistance when needed.

Perform regular Competitor Analysis for review with Online and Brand teams.

Manages Operational effectiveness

Timely and accurate posting of Brand's content on Social Media

Constantly monitor consumer engagement within SM platforms, and provide timely response to all queries / complaints

Liaise with Customer Services Team to alert them of complaints / queries requiring GCC intervention

Perform / facilitate design changes of digital assets as and when required, as per Digital & Social Media Manager requirements

Improves Business Processes

Responsible for keeping track of Social Media Performance schedules liaise regularly with local and international agencies to ensure timely implementation of campaigns

Perform campaign management reporting : ROI, Recruitment, Conversion as per pre-approved Campaign KPIs

JOB REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

Degree or equivalent in Marketing, Media or Communications ideally with specialization in Digital Marketing

3-5 years’ experience in online or digital marketing

Ideal candidate will have operational social media and digital marketing experience gained either in an agency or in a brand team of a leading CPG company

Additional experience in the following areas advantageous :

Beauty Industry exposure

Exposure to community based marketing and e-commerce

Strong analytical skills

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Understanding of web technologies involved in digital and social platforms

This is an operational role, which requires someone with a solid understanding of how online communities work / behave in the context of Brand conversations

Qualifications

JOB REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

Degree or equivalent in Marketing, Media or Communications ideally with specialization in Digital Marketing

3-5 years’ experience in online or digital marketing

Ideal candidate will have operational social media and digital marketing experience gained either in an agency or in a brand team of a leading CPG company
