Training Coordinator 350.org is looking for a Training Coordinator to create, design, coordinate, and deliver trainings and workshops for new and existing 350.

org staff to equip them to fulfill 350.org’s mission. About 350.org 350.org is building a global grassroots movement to solve the climate crisis.

Our online campaigns, grassroots organizing, and mass public actions are led from the bottom up by thousands of volunteer organizers in over 188 countries.

350.org works hard to organize in a new way everywhere at once, using online tools to facilitate strategic offline action.

About the Training Coordinator This role requires a skilled trainer, facilitator, and event coordinator excited to support 350.

org staff. You would work with a Bootcamp project team to develop, design, and deliver 350’s first ever in-person staff onboarding and training programme in 2019 and beyond, as well as contribute to other 350 Trainings Team work.

  • Essential Duties Coordinate and manage the training events, particularly bootcamp events (in-person onboarding and training programme for 350 staff) Work alongside the whole 350 Trainings Team and Bootcamp project team to develop curriculum, organise, and facilitate staff bootcamps Contribute to other Trainings Team roles : coaching and supporting trainings across our teams and network;
  • develop and find resources to add to 350 Trainings website, and lead webinars for skill-building across the organization.

  • Essential Skills and Experience 3+ years experience of Proven study and background in training and facilitation pedagogy Experience in international event coordination and organising contexts;

  • Your application is reviewed by the hiring committee.
  • You have an initial screening call with a member of the hiring team. Typically about 15-20 minutes long.
  • You have a second phone interview with a member of the hiring team. Typically lasting between 40-60 minutes. Covering your past experience, your personal vision for the work, and your skills and qualifications.
  • For the most promising candidates, we will typically conduct a skills test lasting 2-3 hours. Skills tests let us get a sense for how you'd approach the kind of tasks and problems you'd encounter in the role.
  • The final stage in the hiring process is typically a group interview involving multiple members of the hiring committee and an HR representative.
  • This interview allows the hiring committee to ask questions about your skills test, get more details about how your background and analysis fits with 350.

    org’s theory of change, and talk to you in a group setting.
