Description : JOBPURPOSE

JOBPURPOSE

The Business Developer will focus on the activity ofsales within a targeted framework of markets and customers to achieve annualsales and margins forecast.

The Business Development Manager has to be dynamicin their sales activity, while being concise and professional in a businessenvironment.

MAINRESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY RESULT AREAS

  • Maintain and develop computerized existing / new customer and prospect database
  • Develop and maintain sales action plans
  • Meet weekly sales call target / KPI’s
  • Maintain sales plan as a working document
  • Weekly sales plan to be issued on a Monday Morning detailing plan for that week
  • Organise own sales activities under minimum supervision
  • Ensure all sales actions are carried through and completed
  • Investigate new business opportunities; identify new markets, undertake seminars where possible
  • Assist with Industrial Division sales and margin forecasting
  • Achieving business unit annual sales and margin
  • Attaining customer satisfaction at all levels of our client base
  • Customer liaison and entertaining
  • Work as part of a team
  • Coordination of issue of sales quotations to key / assigned / new customers
  • Maintaining quotation register up to date for sales activity
  • Maintaining up to date visit reports, customer and competitor information
  • Management of all activities in accordance with ISO 9001 : 2000
  • Promoting other company product lines / division where opportunities are identified
  • Action of specific tasks raised
  • Monthly report with overview of previous and forthcoming month sales activity and plan respectively
  • Liaison with clients on performance and Completion of First Point Assessment Questionnaires
  • INDIVIDUALQUALITY, HEALTH, SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITES

    QUALIFICATIONSAND REQUIREMENTS

    Preferred

    Sales & Marketing Degree / Diploma orequivalent will be useful

    At least five (5) years marketing &sales experience

    Marketing & sales Certificate

    Matriculated (Grade 12) or equivalent fromregistered school or education institute

    Clean debt record

    Legal driver’s license, code 08 (B) minimum

    Essential

    Good organisational skills

    Capable of working without supervision

    Have a methodical and dynamic approach tosales

    Knowledgeable in the Corrosion Protection,Rope Access, NDT, Chemical Cleaning and Industrial Industry

    Required for position :

    Strong customer relations experience

    Demonstrable method of monitoring andtracking sales effort

    Good industry network

    Trustworthy with a confidential nature

    Good Communication skills
