Calling all meticulous grammar gurus and masters of attention to detail. We have a fantastic opening for a mid-weight Quality Editor within the eLearning division at an innovative performance consultancy’s Cape Town office.
In this role you will be responsible for improving quality. You will also be required to deliver comprehensive and high-
quality editing of print and digital material across multiple platforms by working in conjunction with team members. You’ll assume co-
responsibility with teams to ensure zero-defect of final deliverables to internal and external clients. Technical or Instructional editing experience is a bonus.

Maintains the highest quality within all deliverables prepared for internal and external clients
Edits and proofs all documentation and online material generated (training manuals / materials, presentations, proposals, etc.
paying particular attention to spelling, grammar, consistency and punctuation
Establishes and maintains standards and styles for the various programmes
Suggests changes relating to layout and functionality of deliverables while working collaboratively with Instructional Designers, Graphic Designers, and Developers to ensure the highest levels of quality
Ensures that names, places and organisations are spelled correctly, and that facts, dates and statistics are accurate
Conducts plagiarism checks
Establishes and maintains standards and style guides
Works efficiently across platforms which include print and online resources
Stays up to date with relevant trends, and conducts factual research related to Quality Management
Manages projects and communicates timeously if unable to meet deadlines
Communicates and works collaboratively across teams
Fulfils copywriting duties as and when required
The successful candidate must have / be :
BA degree with specialisation in Language (English as a major) Linguistics a preference
Ideal : a post-graduate qualification in Linguistics
Technical or Instructional editing experience is a bonus.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience within relevant field
Excellent written (reporting) and oral communication skills
Outstanding planning, time-management and problem-solving ability
Team-orientated / ability to work efficiently with people
Follow written and listen to verbal instructions from internal clients
Ability to analyse and objectively give feedback to and receive feedback from colleagues and / or superiors
Ability to cross-reference across multiple platforms
Ability to implement relevant changes across multiple deliverables
