As a Marketing Assistant, you are expected to make a genuine contribution to the organisation. You will need to support the work of the brand team and Marketing Executive on projects such as developing marketing, social media and promotional campaigns, sales and shopper strategies and campaigns, as well on collecting and interpreting marketing analytics.

Excellent organisational skills are a main requirement for a marketing assistant role, as well attention to detail, professionalism, responsiveness, the ability to handle multiple projects and remain calm under pressure.

You will need to work independently and as part of a team, and ensure that you use your creativity, express ideas and execute tasks to make a real contribution to the organisation and its mission.

This work will be a critical factor for the smooth operation of the Marketing department and the attainment of its goals, as well as for the long-term growth of the company.

What will you do :

  • Support planning, managing and execution of integrated marketing campaigns, promotional, shopper, innovation, digital and social media activities.
  • Actively work with developing relationships and stakeholder management of creative, digital, BTL, packaging, POS, market research and promotional agencies to manage projects and executions.
  • Help measure and celebrate the brand’s TTL impact by collecting data, compiling case studies and producing reports. To work effectively as part of various teams, applying Premier’s approach and values.
  • Research to understand global and local market, consumer and industry trends for the purpose of driving awareness of key trends within the team to identify opportunities for innovation, highlight potential threats, shifts in consumer behaviour etc.
  • Work as part of a team to help coordinate and organise work and execute activities in a timely and efficient way.
  • Undertaking daily administrative tasks to ensure the functionality and coordination of the department’s activities including (but not exclusively) managing budgets, reconciling and managing invoices, market share and brand health tracking, marketing stock management, product catalogue maintenance, customer and trade monitoring, maintain brand history record, participating and taking minutes in meetings, reviewing mailboxes on a regular basis, responding to requests by email and telephone, acting as a point of contact for enquiries and implementing new processes.

  • Impact on team and team feedback (marketing, sales, finance, factory / operations) Qualification Requirementso A degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Digital Marketing or Advertising.
  • A post-graduate specialisation in Marketing is preferable. Experience Requirementso Minimum 2 years’ post-degree experience.

    o Marketing in FMCG with interaction with trade and sales will be advantageous. Key OutputsEXPECTED SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES

  • Skills / Knowledge :
  • o Understanding of key marketing drivers and strategies and have demonstrated how these can be utilised to increase market share, revenue and Gross Profit.

    o Business acumen with an understanding of business drivers which should include budget management, forecasting, P & L optimisation and management, impact of numeric / weighted distribution on revenue, as well as an in-

    depth understanding the portfolio in terms of volume, value and Gross Profit drivers and how these need to be balanced and optimised to exceed revenue and profit targets.

    o Solid capability on Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel. Capability should include being able to put together attractive well thought out presentations (PowerPoint) to enable decision making, clear agency briefs (Word), be able to amend Innovation templates (Excel) and develop basic market share insights (Excel).
