Duties and Responsibilities :
Working in a dynamic team and with leading edge technology, your responsibilities will include :
Leading the delivery of building structures projects including management of delivery teams.
Driving technical development and keeping up to date with new technologies and international trends.
Providing technical and project leadership to staff.
Preparation and checking of calculations required for the design of engineering projects.
Producing detailed designs and documentation for the implementation of medium to large sized engineering projects.
Assisting in the analysis of technical information.
Preparation of specifications, proposals and other tender documentation.
Undertaking site inspections and associated reporting, liaison with clients, sub-consultants and contractors.
Mentoring of young Engineers.
Leading a team of Engineers, Technicians and Modellers.
Engineering Management of Multidisciplinary Projects.
Drive Innovation across the unit.
Sound knowledge of the SA Building Market.
Proven record of client relationship building and maintenance.
Leading in out into tenders and bids.
Personal attributes, qualities or competencies needed :
A solid background in the design of industrial and commercial structures with particular experience in reinforced concrete and structural steel.
Other comments :
Conversant in 3D Structural analysis packages like Tekla, Revit or BIM.
Strong Project Management / Engineering Management Skills.
