PURPOSE OF THE POSITION :

Providing direction to the Creative Department and the rest of the agency, with regard to integrated creative solutions for clients communication needs

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Drive the overall quality of the Creative product whilst maintaining accountability to client objectives
  • Ensure quality of work is maintained / improved under your leadership
  • Creative work that is presented is fully thought out solutions rather than options (including detailed thinking, budgets, timings)
  • Produce creative TTL that ranks amongst the most liked in all market segments
  • Devise an award drive to produce better proactive work and ensure that this drive is efficiently run
  • Create TTL solutions as opposed to one-off concepts
  • Work with various departments and partners on client presentations
  • Clarify the exact purpose / deliverables of a brief before developing work
  • Complete work within client deadlines and budgets
  • Create a culture of solutions not problems within the creative department
  • Attract top talent and retain best creative and strategic staff
  • Working from a brief with a copywriter, generating concepts to present to the clientWorking on designs to produce an effective advertising or marketing campaign
  • Periodically working with specialists, such as photographers or illustrators to create a desired campaign
  • Being able to manage a time schedule and work under pressure
  • Executing and setting up each and job in a precise and concise manner to be able to reproduce for repro and print.
  • Being able to analyse a brief and conceptualise pragmatic creative solutions
  • Using the MAC to produce high quality creative work
  • Work closely with Copywriter and Client service team to develop award-winning strategic advertising and promotional campaigns within the parameters of the creative brief conceptualizing
  • Design & craft concepts into original, relevant and impactful communications and follow through to the completion of the job whilst maintaining explicit attention to detail and adhering to time scales
  • Give constructive input during a shoot and / or recording
  • KNOWLEDGE

  • Exceptional conceptual ability
  • Capable of driving copy and guiding the response mechanisms through understanding of promotional activities and experiential marketing disciplines
  • Finely honed design skills and latest techniques.
  • Have a thorough understanding of layout, typography and printing
  • GENERAL SKILLS / ATTRIBUTES

  • Entrepreneurial and charismatic both mastering craftsmanship and strong convincingly conceptual thinking
  • A strong presenter with a broad orientation on and experience in full service-both thinking and acting
  • Strong in reviews- you must be able to substantiate your remarks with arguments and you must not be afraid to be confronting when needed but you must be able to create plenty of room for your staff to grow and to better themselves
  • Reliable and accessible as and when required to oversee jobs
  • Confident within yourself to tackle the job and keep the agency’s flag flying high
  • Positive and inspiring
  • EXPERIENCE

  • 5 years’ experience in a creative and strategic department
  • EDUCATION :
