Account Manager : NewSales Data Services

Purpose of therole :

The Account Manager serves as the primary businesscontact for the client and is responsible for client satisfaction. The AM isexpected to consistently provide excellent customer service to accounts, aswell as represent client needs and goals within the organization to ensurequality.

In addition, the AM should build relationships with clients toencourage new and repeat business opportunities.

Key Accountabilities : Revenue


  • Achieve annual revenue targets across all product for Data Services
  • Customer account and training plan
  • Maintain healthy sales pipeline
  • Customer plan maintenance
  • Develop a value proposition and ROI of proposals. (Customer conversion rate)
  • Delivery of overall growth in termsto total revenue for entire customer base at agreed % over previous years’ sales levels
  • Existing Clients and Business development

  • Responsible for client communications, conflict resolution, and compliance on client deliverables and revenue
  • Ensures that client issues are dealt with in an efficient manner
  • Owns the contract and contract renewals for new work for an existing client
  • Assist with payment and collections
  • Works closely with the project team in order to maintain a continuous knowledge of project status in order to identify potential issues and / or opportunities within or related to the project.
  • Aware and in pursuit of opportunities for account growth and new business
  • Communicates the client's goals and represent the client's interests to the team.
  • Provides regular two-way communication between the client and team, to provide strong team representation and set proper client expectations
  • Understanding of company product, capabilities and services, and effectively communicates all offerings to the client
  • Reports to the General Manager, providing regular input on all account activity, including status and call reports on a weekly basis

  • Qualificationsand Required Experience

  • Matric / Grade 12
  • Degree or Diploma or relating experience
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in an Account Management Sales role
  • Strong presentation and research skills
  • Computer literate with knowledge of MS office suite of applications
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Strong analytical and strategic skills
  • MinimumRequirements :
