A leader within the local and international seed industry is seeking the above to be responsible for the overall management and development of their sales territory and achieving annual sales plans as well as selling and servicing products and continually developing a customer network.
Minimum requirements for the role :
BSc Agriculture is essential.
2 years’ sales experience within agriculture is essential.
Previous experience within a multinational company would be advantageous.
Previous experience within Africa would be preferred.
Must be willing to travel extensively into Africa.
Must have a valid driver’s licence.
Computer literacy is essential with good working knowledge of Microsoft packages.
Sound ability to communicate effectively across all levels.
The successful candidate will be responsible for :
Identifying and building relationships with key growers and business partners with the intent to help customers understand the benefits, positioning and placements of products offered.
Building and continually developing an engaged customer and business partner network.
Recruiting, training, developing and motivating a customer network within the territory to increase and retain sales volume.
Implementing the go-to market strategy at dealer and grower level.
Continuously tracking progress using key metrics as well as effectively communicate customer benefits through a good technical understanding of the of the product line.
Conducting meetings with business partners and grower customers / prospects.
Effectively and proactively managing customer service calls and complaints.
Managing expense budgets and marketing programs.
Providing timely product forecasts for the assigned territory through an understanding of local customer needs.
Working with reselling dealers and collaborating with local agronomists on current and new products.
