The primary role of the General Counsel is to provide the Chief Executive Officer with expert and strategic legal advice and the incumbent will evaluate, weigh multiple inputs and impacts of any decision or course of action.
Proven general counselling experience in a regulatory or public sector environment;
Project Management knowledge;
Experience in General counsel and drafting legal documents;
Knowledge of the transport industry will be advantageous.
Post Graduate degree in Law
A Masters in Law will be advantageous
Overall broad legal knowledge (corporate law, litigations, labor law, etc.)
Requisite understanding of government regulatory environments and application of law in both public and commercial environments
Ability to develop legal strategy and objectives
Well-versed in how business operates with a sound financial acumen
High degree of professional ethics, integrity and gravitas
