The Recruiter is responsible for recruiting qualified candidates to fill experienced hire positions in designated sub-service lines and / or practices.

This position may also have responsibility for the identification of talent and converting prospects into active candidates in order to fill experienced hire position for the firm.

The Recruiting Manager may also recruit for positions at all levels excluding Partner, Principal, Executive Director and Director (PPEDD) positions.

This position works with business leaders, Human Resources (HR), recruiting leaders and hiring managers to execute on workforce and hiring plans.

The Recruiter has responsibility for assessing candidate profiles and managing candidates through the interview process, negotiates and closes offer acceptances.

This position receives general supervision and can work effectively with little supervision on a daily basis; requests assistance from Recruiting Leader on more complex issues. Responsibilities

  • Serve as a recruiter for various vacancies across the EY practice. Conduct pre-qualifying phone screen interviews with candidates and targeted warm calls to generate interest in EY opportunities.
  • Make next step recommendations for each candidate.

  • Recruit candidates on behalf of client groups for positions for in both client-serving and Core Business Services (CBS), is the main recruiting point of contact for these client groups.
  • Clients may include hiring managers, internal and external candidates and other constituents as required (e.g. alumni, internal and external affinity groups, vendors, etc.).

  • Responsible for identifying candidates through multiple sources including employee referrals, social networking sites (e.
  • g. LinkedIn), alumni, transfers and agencies.

  • Provide regular updates to hiring manager, recruiting leaders and other stakeholders as may be appropriate on pipeline development and candidate progress.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Business Unit and Service Line hiring managers and HR leaders.
  • Participate in workforce planning sessions and ongoing ad-hoc feedback meetings with hiring managers.
  • Execute on processes to implement hiring plans based on business strategy in consultation with business and recruiting leaders.
  • Participate with hiring managers and recruiting leadership to develop implementation plans for sourcing and recruiting strategies, paying particular attention to inclusiveness strategies.
  • Responsible for inclusiveness sourcing efforts for assigned Sub-Service Line and / or Practice. Attend inclusiveness events and conferences to develop and foster relationships with diverse professional organizations for pipeline.
  • Follow-up on leads, participant lists, etc.

  • Manage candidates through the entire interview and hiring process (up to and including assessing candidate qualifications for current open positions, negotiating offers and initiating on boarding for new hires).
  • Responsible for scanning the marketplace for trends and obtaining information on competitive positioning. May make recommendations regarding how this information could affect hiring plans and / or sourcing strategies.
  • Responsible for mastering the use of recruiting tools and technologies (Taleo, LinkedIn, etc) to remain at the forefront of talent acquisition.
  • Research and recommend the use of other vendors that may improve the effectiveness of recruiting and / or sourcing activities.

    May provide testing or manage the rollout of a new tool or technology to the recruiting community.

  • Ability to assess whether candidates have the appropriate skills, competencies and experiences required to meet the specifications of the proposed position.
  • Ability to articulate and market EY opportunities to candidates.
  • Ability to negotiate and close offers. Responsible for counselling and mentoring other recruiters.
  • Qualification and experience To qualify, candidates must have :

  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • Approximately 5-7 years of experienced hire recruitment experience, preferably from a professional services environment
  • Knowledge and experience in full lifecycle experienced hire recruitment
  • Knowledge of recruitment / hiring laws and practices
  • Possess high level of specialized knowledge in experienced hire recruitment
  • Ability to quickly gain in-depth knowledge of firm recruitment policies, processes and protocols
  • Ability to quickly adapt to, embrace and champion new technology and tools
  • Act as a change agent as new technology, tools and processes are rolled out
  • Ability to quickly gain a broad understanding of the firm's Service Lines and a detailed understanding of the Practice for which this position is responsible for
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multitasking environment
  • Ability to utilize strategic thinking skills and work to collaborate with fellow team members on best practices
  • Strong customer focus and effective use of consultative approach with clients
  • Travel may be required, depending on scope of role.
  • Should be willing to work overtime as required.
