What will I be doing?

You will have the opportunity to learn new skills and technologies, gain an understanding of some of the wider aspects of the development process, and get invaluable experience working in the only FTSE100 software company in South Africa.

The Graduate scheme will run for 2 years and will include a fast start onboarding into roles within our organisation allowing you to make a significant contribution to our business quickly.

You will rotate through multiple assignments with us during the 2 years and be part of the team that develops products for different market segments to enable business builders run their businesses.

Do I Qualify?

Skills or experience in application development would be advantageous but more important is your enthusiasm and commitment, and your ability to work within a team to deliver results in a major software development company.

You'll have a keen eye for detail and an inquisitive mind. You'll be able to demonstrate resilience and determination whilst remaining flexible and responsive to the changing demands of a fast paced environment.

You'll enjoy working as part of a well-integrated team and must have good listening, verbal and written communication skills.

You will be mentored and supported by an experienced developer throughout the year but will be encouraged to play a full role in the development process.

    Qualification : BSc Informatics / Computer Science

    Key Responsibilities

    Participate in the create, maintain and enhance infrastructure and infrastructure automation, supporting secure and scalable environments to satisfy both operational and product needs in accordance with corporate guidelines.

    Assist with the enablement of continuous deployment cycles and on-demand deployment processes

    Assist in running benchmark and performance tests

    Monitor applications and systems, escalating pertinent issues

    Assist with coordination between IS Operations and DevOps

    Refactor code removing technical debt of infrastructure and infrastructure automation

    Troubleshoot both infrastructure and infrastructure automation issues

    Participate in code’ and code / infrastructure’ deployments

    Participate in code reviews

    Participate in cross departmental project teams to create automation and infrastructure requirements

    Document processes, automation code and infrastructure

    Communicate with key stakeholders on infrastructure, deployments details, etc.

    Contribute to project planning

    Protect company proprietary and confidential information
