Your role

24 Month Fix term Contract

  • Assist Senior Analysts in the London-based Quantitative Research team by liaising with sector teams to incorporate quantitative analysis in investment recommendations, based on technical modeling.
  • More general associate analyst responsibilities will include : financial statement analysis and building and maintaining financial models to evaluate historical information and generate projections
  • Analyze data to assess and describe current and long term trends at both an industry and company level
  • Remain current on industry developments and market trends to help frame investment strategies
  • Conduct valuation analysis within an industry, sector, or asset class
  • Communicate with internal and external clients, as appropriate, to convey investment recommendations and ideas
  • Actively monitor assigned coverage and respond to significant events on a timely basis
  • Maintain research coverage by performing quarterly and more formalized periodic reviews of assigned researched companies
  • Review business / trade publications, annual reports, filings and other sources to gather / interpret data

    The role will involve supporting and assisting our team of highly rated analysts in gathering information, processing and analyzing industry and financial data, and specifically liaising with different sector teams on the use of quantitative analysis in their investment recommendations.

    Your experience and skills

    As a candidate with the following attributes, you will have an excellent chance of success if you are a :

  • Qualified CA with excellent university results (preferred but not mandatory)
  • Mathematics background (preferred but not mandatory)
  • A track record of success in your academic life
  • Solid know-how of Microsoft Excel / office products
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, energetic and committed and have proven team working ability
  • An independent thinker with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • One or two years relevant work experience is beneficial but not essential
  • Candidates with experience in the finance or strategy teams of a firm in the retail, banking / insurance, technology / telecoms / media, mining or other industries will also be considered.
