A leading JSE-listed packaging manufacturing company requires the above to manage and report on systems and processes, whilst ensuring that the factory’s packaging and paper management system is running in an optimal manner.
Minimum requirements for the role :
Relevant tertiary Quality Qualification (minimum Diploma level) is essential.
Minimum 3 years’ BRC quality experience within a food, packaging or related industry is essential.
Must have implemented BRC within an organisation.
Must be attention to detail.
Computer literacy with intermediate knowledge of the Microsoft Office packages is essential.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
The successful candidate will be responsible for :
Implementing and managing the safety management system to ensure that processes run smoothly and effectively.
Ensuring that the management system meets relevant regulations and customer requirements.
Investigating safety related incidents / complaints in a timeous manner and implementing corrective actions.
Controlling and compiling all internal and external safety documents.
Developing quality assurance plans and procedures by conducting hazard analyses.
Identifying critical control points and preventive measures.
Monitoring procedures, corrective actions, verification procedures and inventories.
Compiling safety training material and conducting the internal staff training.
Ensuring that a high-level of hygiene standards is maintained at all times.
Evaluating suppliers and reporting on deviations.
