Business Transformation and Optimisation is a function intended to ensure that Dimension Data continues optimising business to support the Company’s end-

to-end operating model and ensure that relevant systems meet the Company’s ever evolving business requirements. The primary role of the Business Optimisation Manager -

Service is to simplify, standardise and automate Dimension Data’s processes, systems and data within our Sales Operations and Fulfilment functions in order to achieve the Company’s ambitious Continuous Improvement strategy.

What you'll be doing

The Business Optimisation function is intended to ensure that Dimension Data continues improving its business operations to support the Company’s end-

to-end operating model and ensure that relevant systems meet the Company’s ever-evolving business requirements. The primary role of the Business Process Optimisation Manager is to standardise, simplify and automate Dimension Data’s processes, systems and data within our Services Operations functions in order to achieve the Company’s ambitious Continuous Improvement strategy.

Ensure operational efficiency

The Business Optimisation Manager contributes to the ongoing development and implementation of key policies, processes and data methodologies that support the operational efficiency of the business.

He / she works closely with the other Business Optimisation Managers and engage with the Services Business Forums to ensure the continuous improvement of Dimension Data’s operational environment in supporting the Company’s global business requirements.

These individuals are expected to understand the importance of business process management to drive Dimension Data’s operating model.

Drive global alignment

Business Optimisation Managers will drive alignment of global standards across the business operations of Dimension Data’s tier one systems.

They work with the Business Forum Owners to ensure alignment of global standards and execution of Dimension Data’s strategy in collaboration with the Group Functional Units and the Regions.

Ensure business requirements are met

The Business Opimisation Manager Sales ensures that application systems meet business requirements and achieve targeted return of investments in collaboration with the Solution and Development team.

He / She therefore requires a sound understanding of the Lead-to-Cash process and general Sales Operations functions. He / She is expected to drive alignment in the holistic business requirements on systems to run and manage Dimension Data’s operating environment from lead to cash.

Drive strategy execution

The Business Optimisation Managers steers the execution of Dimension Data’s strategy across the Company’s matrixed business environment to support efficient organisational changes in the way we work

Behavioral skills

The Business Optimisation Manager is regarded as a thought leader and demonstrates strategic thinking ability.

The Business Optimisation Manager has a strong attention to detail, is resourceful and confidently handles pressure in critical situations.

Required Work Experience :

8 10 years’ work experience

At least 8 years’ experience in services within a large scale (preferably multinational) technology services environment

Experience in applying systematic and rigorous analytical methods to improve business processes

What would make you a good fit for this role?

In this position you will be required to :

Simplify, standardise and automate Dimension Data’s processes and systems in order to achieve the Company’s ambitious continuous improvement strategy.

Contribute to the ongoing development and implementation of key policies, processes and data methodologies that support the operational efficiency of the business Coordinate and facilitate the Business Forums with the Business Forum Owners to drive alignment of global standards and execution of Dimension Data’s strategy in collaboration with Service Units, Go To Market Units, Functional Units and Regions.

For the respective domain, this includes the management of the backlog of prioritized features Communication of key CI initiatives and tracking of continuous improvement in conjunction with operational performance within the regions.

Ensure that application systems meet business requirements and achieve targeted return of investments in collaboration with the GIS team.

Drive the execution of Dimension Data’s strategy across the Company’s matrixed business environment to support efficient organisational changes in the way we work.

In particular in the Support and Managed Services areas of the business.

Minimum requirements

  • Relevant Tertiary Qualification
  • ITIL Foundation Certification
  • Experience

  • 8 10 years’ work experience
  • At least 4-5 years of experience in Business Operations functions, ideally Service Delivery or Contract Management
  • At least 8 years’ experience in services within a large scale (preferably multinational) technology services environment
  • Experience in applying systematic and rigorous analytical methods to improve business processes
