A well-known and established company specialising in the distribution of specialty and organic chemicals to the sub-Saharan African region requires the above to manage and oversee the entire financial accounting function within the business.
Minimum requirements for the role :
A BComm. Finance or Accounting or related qualification or previous experience having worked as an Accountant or Senior Bookkeeper, is essential.
Previous experience having worked on Pastel Partner is essential.
Previous experience having worked with the Standard Bank Business Online Banking system is essential.
Experience closing off month end accounts and working with a cash book is essential.
Previous experience balancing stock is preferred but not essential.
The successful candidate will be responsible for :
Preparing all payment schedules before release.
Compiling management reports and monthly credit notes.
Full bookkeeping up to management accounts.
Compiling supplier invoices, as well as purchasing Forex and administering the payment thereof.
Capturing supplier invoices, performing supplier reconciliations and paying suppliers.
Performing debtor’s reconciliations and debt collections.
Pulling and reviewing stock reports from Pastel.
Capturing multiple currency cash books for foreign suppliers.
Recording inventory into Pastel for various branches.
Capturing importation documentation.
Performing administrative duties regarding imported products.
Completing and submitting VAT 201’s.
