Essential :

  • Grade 12 / Matric / Senior Certificate
  • Minimum 1 Year relevant experience in Distribution, Logistics or Supply Chain Environment.
  • Advantageous :

  • Relevant Degree / Diploma in Logistics or Supply Chain Management.
  • Experience with SAP, EWM or other ERP systems.
  • Experience in the Retail / Pharmaceutical Supply Chain.
  • Relevant experience in the field of Logistics / Supply Chain Management.

    Operational effectiveness and Planning :

  • Learning new skills as per department’s requirements.
  • Participate in all employee related management functions.
  • Under the guidance of an experienced manager, you will participate in all employee-related management functions including training, coaching, motivation, discipline, performance appraisal, conflict resolution, and the administration of human resources policies and initiatives.
  • Prevent and act on security or risk issues and ensure that risks are dealt with proactively.
  • Analyse and interpret any shrinkage indicators and act accordingly.
  • Collaborate with Distribution Centre employees and other staff to ensure business goals are met.
  • Ensure that all safety regulations are met.
  • Inbound Department Duties :

  • Ensure and verify that staff check the following on all incoming products :
  • Product detail vs. Invoice / Delivery Note detail.
  • Batch Numbers.
  • Condition of stock.
  • Pack Sizes (Inners / Outers).
  • Handling units.
  • Ensure claims for all shortages and damages are done within the suppliers prescribed time period.
  • Ensure all invoices have been handed over for MIRA.
  • Accept and be accountable for all goods received.
  • Ensure that all administration is accurate and up to date.
  • Ensure all pallet heights (LE quantities) are correct and new articles is maintained in SAP.
  • Be responsible for the day to day functions within the Quarantine / Returns area.
  • Ensure that all stock is packed away neatly and professionally.
  • Ensure that scanners are used, when required.
  • Ensure that all measurements are taken when stock arrives.
  • Pack stock onto pallets and ensure handling units attached, before allowing out of Inbound.
  • Report all inventory related problems immediately and only move stock to shelves, when resolved.
  • Mark and report any merchandise which is short dated or expired to the responsible manager.
  • Ensure that stock is packed according to correct pallet heights.
  • Ensure master data is accurately maintained.
  • Essential :

  • Knowledge of Management Systems, Occupational Health and Safety Regulations, Emergency process, Public Safety and Security, Customer Service, Transportation Principles and Methods, Production and Processing, Material Handling Standards, Administration and Management, Supply Chain and Personnel and Human Resources Management.
  • Have knowledge of the business measures and targets, directly related to own role.
  • Demonstrate thorough theoretical and practical knowledge and understanding of all Distribution Centre, logistics and supply chain operations.
  • English Read, write and speak.
  • Basic Financial Skills.
  • Trustworthy and Honest.
  • Takes accountability for own actions.
  • Demonstrates a customer service mind set.
  • Have knowledge and understand consequential impacts of decisions made.
  • Analytical thinking.
