The Marketing Technology Analyst is a mid-level position in the Marketing Operations Management job family, operating at a global level in more complex environments.

They take their direction from a senior manager in the business and their guidance from the Marketing Director.

The primary responsibility of the Marketing Operations Senior Manager is to drive data analysis on external data, organising, planning and directing the marketing plan of the regional organisation.

They strive to streamline the marketing procedures and seek to improve marketing processes to ensure an increase in overall revenue for Dimension Data.

What you'll be doing

As Marketing Technology Analyst for the global marketing Operations organisation you will have a balanced mix of good business acumen and technical skills.

You will be required to interact with business stakeholders to understand business requirements, identify technical dependencies and recommend solutions that fulfil business needs and are technically viable.

The successful candidate should have excellent communication skills, be strategic, self-managing and highly organised.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Effectively determine, evaluate and document business needs to inform technical requirements
  • Guide technology integration opportunities
  • Support the creation of analytics frameworks and their technical application
  • Review platform data and analytics and create actionable insights and recommendations to optimise platforms to drive user engagement and conversion
  • Take an architectural approach to mapping data flows across the technology stack including considerations for data privacy and protection, and data management
  • Support the process to inform an evolving marketing technology roadmap
  • Support the selection and procurement of new Marketing technologies
  • Develop business cases for new technical capabilities as required
  • Make suggestions or recommendations for process improvements
  • Develop storyboards and screen flows to support persona’s and customer journeys
  • Provide guidance on information architecture design
  • Provide usability and structural design recommendations
  • Create wireframes / prototypes to communicate concepts
  • Effectively communicate technical solutions to relevant stakeholders
  • Stay abreast of best practice trends and technologies in the marketplace and make recommendations aligned to our technology roadmap.
  • Key requirements

  • A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Business Administration
  • 10 15 years of experience in this or associated fields
  • Experience in usability as it relates to technology
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Proven success with enterprise software implementation or Software as a Service (SaaS) implementation projects
  • The ability to translate business requirements into high level functional requirements for application / technology owners
  • Key abilities required

  • Demonstrate strong strategic and critical thinking capabilities
  • Ability to interpret people’s needs, present concepts and communicate effectively
  • Self-driven, motivated and outcomes-orientated individual
  • Proven ability to lead and inspire, with a high degree of collaboration and influence
  • Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously, while meeting tight deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written English skills, coupled with strong presentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work calmly and effectively in a demanding and fast-paced work environment
