A leading JSE-listed packaging manufacturing company requires the above to supervise the overall maintenance of the plant, whilst ensuring that a cost-
effective maintenance system is implemented and maintained at all times.
Minimum requirements for the role :
A qualified Artisan (Millwright, Fitter or Electrician) or related tertiary Engineering or related qualification is essential.
A minimum of 5 years’ working experience in a continuous production or related plant is essential.
A minimum of 3 years’ working experience in a Maintenance Supervisor or Management role is essential.
Previous Hydraulics and Electrical experience within the Plastics Converting or related industry is essential.
Must be computer literate with intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office packages plus JD Edwards, ERP Systems, Shopware Asset, Asset Management or related software.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work as a team are essential.
Must be attentive to detail and able to work under pressure.
Must be willing and able to work overtime and attend to call-outs when required.
A driver’s license and own reliable transport are essential.
The successful candidate will be responsible for :
Coordinating and supervising Maintenance Personnel and Contractors as well as reviewing the quality of workmanship.
Managing and controlling maintenance spares (critical spares, consumables and general spares).
Managing and overseeing the budget and control maintenance expenditure.
Preparing and controlling routine maintenance activities on all plant, equipment and facilities.
Assisting with fault-finding and repairing mechanical, electrical and instrumentation equipment.
Overseeing the shutdown preparation and planning.
Conducting monthly reports on all activities.
Salary package is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.
