As a Service Technician you will be responsible to execute service work according to agreed work flows and in accordance with ABB standard processes and safety guidelines.
You will also be responsible to deliver excellent customer service to satisfy customers and in close co-operation with customer and other ABB teams, take actions to identify new Service business opportunities for ABB.
Your task as a Service Technician will include the following :
Create and maintain a good relationship with customers and understands their needs. Identifies new sales opportunities and communicates them internally.
Provide recommendations to management to improve operations and customer service.
Ideally you will have Bachelor’s degree in technology or Certificate N6 or National Diploma in Electrical engineering with being qualified as an apprentice, coupled with 3 years’ experience in directly performing electrical medium voltage installation work in an oil and gas, mining, or similar industrial environment.
Your ability to read and interpret circuit diagrams, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, SABS installation standards, fault finding on LV and MV equipment, install new or retrofit panels in substations and use variety of electrical test equipment skills will make you an ideal fit for this position.
Candidates with Wireman’s license and valid driver’s license are preferred for this position.
