Manage the sales organization of the Lifestyle & OTC Business Units

Develop, Implement & Manage Sales Plan in conjunction with marketing plans & SFE Manager.

Develop and ensure sales team achievement of sales objectives.

Provide Support, Development and Guidance to RSMs

Achieve set sales targets of growth, market share and unit volume

Data utilization for weekly and monthly reporting

Motivate and guide the sales force to reach set sales targets by :

Ensuring that they have and understand relevant data to :

Analyse holistically

To use to strategize & target intricately with alignment to campaigns and key account initiatives

Spend the correct amount of time with the right customer in the right places

Understand Channel breakdown & contribution

Apply risk management across brands, customers, channels and bricks

Recruiting, training, developing and coaching of Regional Sales Managers and sales consultants

Establish, communicate and monitor measurable performance objectives for each RSM and in line with KRAs

Conduct performance appraisals twice per year

Develop and implement strategies to address identified performance issues

Develop and implement leadership strategies, which enhance team motivation.

Deelop leadership skills in the RSMs

Recommends product lines by identifying new product opportunities, and / or product, packaging, and service changes; surveying consumer needs and trends; tracking competitors.

Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks.

Monitor and control sales expenses

Plan effective use of promotional and operational budgets

Ensure company resources are fully utilised and maintained e.g. vehicles, phones, lap-tops, office equipment.

  • Requirements :

    Experience, in Pharmaceutical Sales Management

    Knowledge and understanding of the legal and regulatory environment of the pharmaceutical industry in South Africa

    Excellent organisation, strategic & people management skills

    Impressive, demonstrable track record and skills / experience gained within a similar position(s), at a similar level

    Strong leadership skills and experience.

    Data proficiency and credibility

    Credible and confident communicator (written and verbal) at all levels.

    First class presentation skills.

    Proven strategic aptitude and ability.

    Ability to influence at a senior level, both internally and externally.

    Tenacious and results driven with sound business judgement.

    Passionate about achieving high levels of excellence.

    Highly energized and motivated with a high level of commitment.

    Commercially astute and customer focused.

    Ability to work collaboratively with others to provide a high-quality service.

    Minimum 5 years’ experience in pharmaceutical industry with proven Sales Management capability experience.
