Works as part of the MEA HR team located in South Africa, Woodmeadand reports to the South Africa HR Director.

This role is a great opportunity to gain and / or expandexperience of the full employee lifecycle as the HR Consultant role is exposedto a wide range of queries from Business Leaders to Employees.

Works closely with other members of the Oracle EMEA HR team,HR Centre’s of Expertise and other departments; Payroll, Finance, IT,Facilities etc.

There is also an opportunity for the right candidate to moreclosely partner with a specific line of business, providing a moredetailed / higher level of coaching and support.


Demonstrate an understanding of general HR processes andsystems.

Act as a point of contact for a specific LOBemployees regarding HR issues (via email / phone or inperson); responding quickly, accurately and professionally to allcorrespondence and queries.

Provide advice and guidance regarding Oracle’s global HRpolicies, processes and procedures.

Ensure all advice, support and administration is compliantwith local employment legislation and Company policies.

Support Business Partners, line managers and employees withregards to HR activities.

Ensure all HR documentation is accurate, complete and up todate

  • Process lead / coordinator for key HR process take ownershipof the process and become established as a subject matter expert within the HRteam;
  • look for opportunities to improve efficiency; help to educate the HR teamand business managers.

    Support HR Business Partners with Employee Relations issues

    Contribute to the team objectives of knowledge transfer,process improvement and making it easier to do business with HR.

    Ensure that the data on the Human Resources ManagementSystem (HRMS) is up-to-date and accurate.

    Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment law and HRpractices.

    The successful candidate will also focus on Oracle SouthAfrica Skills Development :

    Thefunctions of an SDF are to :

  • To assist Oracleand employees to develop a Workplace Skills Plan (WSP) which complies with therequirements of the Seta.
  • Submit the WSPto the relevant Seta.
  • Advise the LineManagers on the implementation of the WSP.
  • Draft anAnnual Training Report (ATR) on the implementation of the WSP.
  • Ensure thatOracle South Africa meets the quality assurance requirements set by the Seta.
  • Act as acontact person between Oracle South Africa and the Seta.
  • Serve as aresource with regard to all aspects of skills development.
  • CommunicateSeta initiatives, grants and benefits to Oracle Leadership and TransformationDirector
  • Communicatewith branch offices, and all employees in the main office and branch offices,concerning events and grants being offered at the Seta.
  • Serve as an expert resource for accrediting of OracleSouth Africa as a training provider and for the implementation of appropriatelearnerships and skills programmes
  • Profile

    Bachelors’ Degree in Business / Human Resource Managementand / or Diploma in Human Resource Management (OR degree in Computer Science orBusiness Science related discipline, or equivalent education and experiencerelevant to functional area of Human Resources)

    Minimum 3 years’ experience of working in HR or an HRrelated field, generalist HR experience is advantageous but not essential.

    A genuine interest in developing a career in Human Resources

    Proficient in MS Office and Outlook

    Experience of working with Oracle HCM products beneficial

    Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    A willingness to learn and develop, enthusiasm andprofessionalism

    Self-motivation and ability to work unsupervised

    Good problem solver and decision making appropriate for thejob level.

    Ability to work as part of a team and remain focused underpressure.

    Willing to work towards achieving goals in a changing andchallenging environment.

    Detailed Description and Job Requirements

    Partners with business units / divisions in delivering Corporate and Divisional HR policies and programs.

    Join a leading HR group consulting with management and employees on HR practices and procedures. Manage employee relations issues and conduct investigations in support of corporate ethics and values.

    Participate in company-wide programs and initiatives (e.g., manpower planning, salary / bonus / stock review, organizational change, performance management, and training assessment).

    Job duties are varied and complex utilizing independent judgment. May have project lead role. Key skills and abilities include coaching, influencing, facilitation, presentation, communication, process development, analysis, and problem solving.

    Ability to travel. 5 years generalist experience and BA / BS degree. Experience in an HR specialty a plus.
