PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Coordinate and manage stock receiving and control within the DC to maximise productivity or labour, maximise the application of first-
in-first-out (FIFO) stock management and optimise vehicle capacity utilisation.
Managing the operational performance of the receiving department and the QC department to ensure daily productivity and quality targets are met
Provide leadership and coaching within the receiving department
General management of the receiving department, e.g. managing expenses within the allocated budget, facilitating the import damage process / excesses / shortages, KPI targets are met and reported on daily, etc.
Manage the relationships between the receiving department and stakeholders, e.g. buyers, suppliers, etc.
Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements
Being able to work in any other department when required
Ad hoc tasks as required
JOB INCUMBENT REQUIREMENTS
Computer Literacy : MS Office
At least 5 years’ experience within the Distribution Centre environment
Knowledge of distribution and supply chain system
Competencies Required : Planning, organising and control; Problem Assessment (i.e. troubleshooting); Detail Orientation;
Build and maintain relationships; Communication Skills; Service Orientation; Stress Tolerance and Decision-making skills
