Vendor Manager : Management of all outsource contracts and attached SLAs related to the provision of Warehousing and Logistics Services to both internal and external clients.
Define new vendor and contract requirements :
As Vendor Manager you will respond to new or changed business needs and / or services and determine and define the requirement for new or updating existing vendor contracts.
You will ensure an understanding of business needs and prepare a business case that includes a statement of the requirements from the vendor and at times an invitation to tender
Service delivery plans :
Using your excellent relationship building skills you will work indirectly with a variety of clients through various internal teams and directly with Warehousing and Logistics vendors and ensure that contracts are in place for all vendor services provided, including Facilities.
You will agree points of interaction and escalation with the client and vendor / s, ensuring the continuous delivery of the service according to the SLA.
This role requires you to collaborate with the relevant internal stakeholders and vendors and assist with the creation and development of full account plans that will form the basis of service delivery.
In so doing, you will contribute to the preparation and evaluation of Service Level Agreements and ensure that the underlying contracts to support execution against the SLA, are in place.
To guarantee service delivery you will need to ensure that the right employees, equipment, and products are deployed and available and that the service delivery meets the quality requirements agreed with the client
Vendor management :
As Vendor Manager you will support the clients’ business objectives by ensuring that the scope of services offered by the vendor is delivered and that the quality of service delivered is managed appropriately.
You will also review and establish the underlying contracts relevant to the vendor in line with service and operational level agreements agreed with the client, and check and review existing underlying contracts including :
Reviewing contract renewal or termination, advising the Procurement Team on the appropriate decision, and updating the relevant systems with the information are essential tasks.
Should a vendor contract be terminated, you need to ensure that these vendors are transitioned out and communicate the implications to business
Service Improvement :
Based on service audits and reviews conducted, you will determine the impact of service improvements identified in relation to the vendor and document and ensure the vendor implements the appropriate actions.
You will furthermore facilitate the contract roll up process and ensure the implementation of projects that align clients’ strategy with the organizations service offering
People Management :
As Vendor Manager you will act as a people manager for the employees within the team. You will ensure the full utilisation of resources, and to achieve this you will coach and develop individuals in the team and take the lead in critical situations.
Managing work activities and ensuring successful completion of processes related to vendor management are further leadership responsibilities
