The UWC Department of Industrial Psychology forms part of the Faculty of Economic and Management Sciences and in keeping with our vision, we are committed to providing quality teaching to both our undergraduate and postgraduate students in this discipline and to equip them with sought-
after people management knowledge and skills. An exciting opportunity exists at a Senior Lecturer level in this growing Department.
The appointee will be expected to :
Lecture at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels
Conduct research and postgraduate supervision
Community engagement and outreach
Curriculum development and assessment
The minimum requirements for appointment are :
A relevant Doctoral degree in Industrial Psychology or Human Resource Management
At least three (3) years lecturing experience (i.e. both undergraduate and postgraduate) at a formal tertiary institution
Experience in supervising postgraduate dissertations
A proven research and publications record in peer-reviewed journals
Current registration as an Industrial Psychologist with the Health Professions Council of South Africa, of which such registration should have been in effect for at least the past 3 years.
Competencies required are :
Sound oral and written communication skills in English
Student focused approach
Planning and administrative skills
Time management skills.
