Job Description

Responsible and accountable, managing all implementations and operational activities to meet internal and external customer needs.

  • Serve as strategic business owner and point of contact for commercial functions across franchise in SACG.
  • Collaborate on franchise strategic business initiatives and operating plans.
  • Support full scope of product life cycle management per franchise strategy.
  • Ensure that performance of activities falls within compliance guidelines.
  • Develop stakeholder engagement plans for existing and new brands in Public and Private sector to increase depth and breadth of Ophtha portfolio.
  • Maintain knowledge of competitor products to identify and report intelligence on competitor pricing or marketing strategies.
  • Drive analysis that inform business initiatives, and customer engagement programs.
  • Collaborate with marketing and country managers to ensure that insights gathered in SACG inform broader strategic initiatives.
  • Constantly assess the Company's value proposition to the customer in order to ensure perceived value to the customer is maintained at the highest level.
  • Maintain a professional and ethical relationship with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Responsible for the development and maintenance of long term relationships with key customers.
  • Collaborate with marketing on brand strategy for SACG and constantly communicate brand attributes and positioning in order to stay top of mind with customers.
  • Be the customer advocate and represent the needs of the customer at the CPO level, ensuring that internal processes are aligned to delivering best value to customers.
  • Develop tactical and strategic plans, getting franchise buy-in to meet any identified gaps in delivering unmatched service to the customers.
  • Establish a strong understanding of the market in order to identify additional opportunities for growth of the product portfolio.
  • Minimum requirements

  • Degree / Diploma in Sales / Marketing / BSc / Administration would be advantageous.
  • At least 6 years' experience required in the pharmaceutical industry with 2 of these years in a management role.
