Innovative IT company seeks Account Manager. Hunt for new business at South African Banks.
What the person must be able to do
This role is in the South African Banking industry. As such, the person must be able to execute all job tasks in a Banking context and environment.
The company develops a software solution. The person must be able to understand software and systems concepts. The person must understand how these software and systems concepts apply in South Africa’s banks.
Create Account Plan / s
Identify organisational structure and key decision makers in the Account
Develop consultative relationships with key decision makers (Know you, like you, trust you)
Understand the customer’s strategy and align sales opportunities to the strategy
Strategic and thought leadership presentations
Create and identify new opportunities in the Account
Qualify sales opportunities (Determine if the customer is going to buy)
Progress sales opportunities to close
Presentation of Sales Solution
Proposal writing and pricing
Assist customer with budgeting and business cases
Address customer objections to solutions
Pricing and contract negotiation
Manage account politics
Deal with customer service issues
Achieve and over-achieve sales targets
Report on sales opportunities
Key Job Deliverables
Account revenue growth as per company objectives
Attainment of sales targets
Accurate sales forecasting and reporting
Create and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction
Background work experience
4+ years experience in Strategic Account Management, of which :
At least 2 years in Software Solution sales
2+ years Account Management experience in the Banking sector
Strongly advantageous if the candidate has actually worked for a bank
Existing relationships in IT and Electronic Payments divisions of the Major Banks. Must include relationships with divisional heads
Strong preference for Female aged 30-35
Must be impeccably groomed

Location : Craighall, Johannesburg
Basic : R 240K-R480K per annum (dependent on experience and proven track record)
On Target : R 480K to R 700K per annum
Maximum Earnings : No salary cap
