DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Includes but not limited to :
Management of all Driver statutory compliance and internal compliance with business policy and procedure;
Guide and manage the overall provision of Human Resources services, policies, and programs for recruiting and staffing;
Organizational departmental planning;
Employee development, needs assessment, and training;
Policy development and documentation;
Employee relations; Employee safety, welfare, wellness and health;
Employee services and counselling;
Lead Human Resources practices and objectives that will provide an employee oriented; high-performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity, and standards;
goal attainment, and the recruitment and ongoing development of a superior workforce;
Is responsible for the development of processes and metrics that support the achievement of the organization’s business goals;
Co-ordinates the implementation of people-related services, policies, and programs through staff; reports to the CEO; and assists and advises company managers about Human Resources issues;
Development of the Human Resources department;
Provides leadership for Human Resources strategic planning;
Participate in executive, management, and company staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars;
Establish an in-house employee training system that addresses company training needs including training needs assessment, new employee orientation, management development, production cross-
training, the measurement of training impact, and training transfers;
Coach and train managers in their communication, feedback, recognition, and interaction responsibilities with the employees who report to them;
Conduct investigations when employee complaints or concerns are brought forth;
Monitor and advise managers and supervisors in the progressive discipline system of the company.
Monitors the implementation of a performance improvement process with non-performing employees;
Protects the interests of employees and the company in accordance with company Human Resources policies and governmental laws and regulations;
Responsible for the full HR Generalist function;
Customer Audits : facilitate sessions, and close out of non-conformances;
Responsible for documentation for all National Bargaining Council matters (staff appeals / disputes, monthly submissions, new hires and termination, incapacity cases maintaining online system);
Maintaining of employee files in accordance with legislative as well as audit requirements;
Recruitment and Selection of all new staff (Drafting and placing of advert online, response handling, scheduling and conducting interviews in conjunction with line managers, reference and criminal checking);
New Hire Inductions and on- boarding process including co-ordination and booking of all site inductions as well as in-
house training and formal training required; Staff counselling sessions; Representing the Company at CCMA;
Employment Equity submissions;
Compilation of data for BEE scorecard
