As the Business Development Account Manager, you will be the local representative for ADI Global in South East Africa. You will be responsible to sell all brands that ADI Global distributes into East African countries and identify countries within the designated East Africa region including, but not limited to Kenya, Uganda Rwanda Ethiopia Tanzania DRC and Malawi.
You will be required to promote and increase sales by developing and managing relationships with existing key regional installation companies within the assigned territory and win new business from our competitors by building relationships with their key customers and to prospect and close New business / Customer opportunities.
Essential Responsibilities :
Attend site meetings with local SI's to help them design a solution using ADI products.
Generate a strong relationship with consultants by becoming their go to person when specifying a solution for their client.
To provide support to customers and the branch network to meet the Company objectives in Sales, Profit, Margin improvement and Service Quality.
To have a working technical knowledge of security products and the ability to sell and promote the Company value proposition and its products.
To be aware of new innovations in the market through technical training on a regular basis and attending product seminars.
Ensure regular contact with the Major Project Support team and field based technical support, involving them in tenders & quotations to allow more proactive selling time.
To attend all Regional and National meetings as and when required which could involve travelling and being away from home for a specified period.
To travel to neighboring countries with in the East African region to share your expertise and create a larger client base within the region.
To ensure all other company metrics and activity KPI’s are met on a consistent weekly basis.
To engage fully with all periodic sales campaigns and strategies.
Identify sub distribution channels and opportunities through existing and up and coming distribution companies.
Analyse and investigate product import structures and tariffs and thus create the most efficient, cost effect manner to receive all categories of product that ADI distributes into East Africa.
In addition you will analyse and investigate ways to improve product delivery time to the customer to ensure ADI compete favorably with local distributors.
Initially, ADI RSA and ADI ME will export all sales from their respective warehouses to the clients within the ADI Global defined East African region.
YOU MUST HAVE :
Proven Sales and Business Development experience in a similar industry - min 5-10 years
Drive and be motivated to drive sales and achieve targets
Excellent communication skills
