Manufacturing Merchandise Planner

Parow, Cape Town

An exciting opportunity has become available in TFG Design & Manufacturing for a Manufacturing Merchanidise Planner : Foschini Design.

Job Profile :

We are looking for a vibrant, dynamic, and assertive individual with attention to detail to join the Foschini Design team.

The ideal candidate will ensure all critical path milestones are adhered to from concept to delivery. They need to ensure that System integrity is maintained by all users in the team.

They will be responsible to build and maintain an open and transparent customer relationship with both internal and external customers.

The successful applicant will have a strong eye for a product backed with a solid flair for numbers and reporting.

Job Objectives :

Responsible to highlight manufacturing targets, follow up and report progress, and escalate any problems to management

Drive the critical path within the design team

Create and communicate relevant notifications to all relevant parties

Complete all costings required

Responsible to compile consolidated capacity reports to Planning Dept

Responsible to compile all financial reporting

Ensure all information is correctly captured in Sync to facilitate accurate data analysis

Must be able to identify if corrective measures or escalation is required

Requirements :

Matric

A relevant tertiary qualification or applicable experience

3-5 years experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment

Must have a very good understanding of both production and retail environments

In depth knowledge of design to production processes

General understanding of raw material purchasing

Expert knowledge of garment costings

Understanding of garment construction

Strong planning and organisation skills

Excellent influencing skills

Strong communication skills

Analytical abilities and numeracy skills

Ability to build and maintain strong relationships

Networking skills

Problem solving abilities

Experience with Sync would be advantageous but not compulsory
