In the EY Cova team you will have the opportunity to assist some of the largest companies in the world in claiming the tax incentives and grants available from the South African government.
You will also have the opportunity to assist these companies in quantifying the energy efficiency savings and carbon footprint.
You will be required to meet with clients, analyse information and data, and develop energy baseline models and GHG reports.

Key responsibilities
You will be part of EY Cova’s Energy and Carbon team. Your core responsibility will be measurement and verification activities for the purpose of section 12L tax claims.
You will be responsible for assisting clients to access the section 12L tax incentive. You will need to collect and analysing data and information to ensure projects comply with the section 12L applicability criteria.
You will develop energy baseline models in accordance with SANS 50010 : 2018 and use it to quantify the energy savings achieved by the various energy efficiency projects.
You will need to develop the baseline and performance assessment reports for review and approval by SANEDI. You must also manage the section 12L claim process up to issuance of the tax certificate by SANEDI.
Additional responsibilities will be assisting the Carbon team with quantifying carbon footprints for various industrial and mining facilities.
You will assist in GHG reporting. You will support the Energy team with decarbonisation advisory projects.
