The business is in Warehousing and Distribution of all electrical products ( 5000 items) and Suppliers to all sectors of the economy (i.
e. electricians, engineers, industry, commercial and others).
The main and critical Departments are Debtors ( 500), Creditors ( 100) and Stock Control ( 5000 items) and related departments such as Bookkeeping, Human Resources, Labour Relations, Dispatch and Receiving.
It would include motor vehicles, insurances, legal matters, salaries and wages and so on. Basically all aspects of the business outside of the buying and selling of our products.
Requirements / Duties :
ØPerson will accept the position as their overall responsibility to ensure all financial and admin aspects of the business are well controlled and done timeously the buck stops at this position.
ØIdeally experienced in a similar industry i.e. Wholesaling but mostly in the same type of business and the work related thereto.
ØWell experienced and competent in handling employees and therefore fully au fait with labour relation matters.ØWe need a well experienced accountant (not CA) with many years of hands-on experience with a small to medium size Company (not with big Corporates).
ØRegain its market share in a Sector that is struggling at present.ØAccounting system : Syspro’ and Sage VIP’ for salaries and wages.
ØEnglish and Afrikaans (working Zulu would be an advantage but not necessary).ØHome Physical address : Within 20km’s of city (Jeppestown) namely from Kensington, Edenvale, Boksburg, Alberton etc .
