Summary : This is an opportunity for a seasoned Private Equity professional to join a rapidly growing Wealth Fund. As a senior member of the executive team this role will have a responsibility to contribute to the development of the Fund’s investment strategy, policies, guidelines and systems.
Qualification required :
Successful candidate will be an MBA Graduate from a top tier university;
Professional qualifications from recognised institutions;
Executive certification will be advantageous.
Experience required :
Minimum 15 years’ experience in project development and management, corporate finance, financial management & economic analysis;
10 years’ Private Equity experience with exposure to large scale investing in Logistics, Manufacturing, Resources, Tourism and Culture sectors globally;
A track record in setting and developing new projects;
Substantial experience and proven success track record in large scale investing.
Skills required;
Highly developed business acumen with the ability to identify profitable investment opportunities;
Excellent negotiating skills with the ability to interact with counterparties and business partners at Board level.
Main responsibilities will include :
Identification and effective perusal of eligible project investments;
Effective management of the investee projects and companies;
Regular reporting and presenting to the CIO, CEO, the Investment Committee, the Executive Committee and the Board;
Manage, promote and enhance relationships with counterparts, advisors and business partners;
Managing the process of appointing and working with outside advisors including drawing their terms of reference and evaluation of proposals and negotiation with the preferred advisor;
Preparing a full and comprehensive report on identified investment opportunities and for obtaining the Fund’s approval for the related investment decisions;
Implementing systems and procedures for managing, and monitoring the performance of the investee projects and companies;
Formulating proposals on the Fund’s participation in the management of the investee projects and companies for approval by the CIO, CEO, Investment Committee, Executive Committee or the Board as applicable;
Formulating recommendations for taking corrective actions in respect of the investee projects and companies;
Formulating and implementing the exit strategy including the identification of potential buyers, negotiations, drafting divestment agreement.
