This well known and highly successful client is looking for a Data Analyst who has an understanding of the end to end credit life cycle.
This person will partner with the Risk, Collections and Recoveries team in order to understand business requirements, with the aim of applying relevant analytical solutions to maintain and positively contribute to the net bad debt outcomes and forecasts.
The key focus of this role will include the provision of analytical solutions, through the conversion of analytical customer insight into sound business decisions.
Your technical knowledge and understanding of the end to end consumer credit life cycle, the use of decision agents within the credit life cycle, the use of analytical tools (SQL, SAS, MS Office, Qlikview) and the ability to effectively analyse and report on business statistics will allow you to thrive in this dynamic Risk Team.

Portfolio and Collections Insight
Review and monitor the end to end credit life cycle of the credit portfolio (including its associated scorecards). This includes making and driving appropriate strategy changes to deliver or achieve certain business objectives.
Provide regular monthly reporting and commentary on the portfolio performance from a credit risk perspective across the various decision areas and take the necessary actions if there are any deviations from the desired outcomes.
Track and monitor Collections performance on a daily, weekly and monthly basis across all payment tender types.
Collaborate with the Collections team to identify needs and opportunities for improved data management and delivery methods.
Understand Collections requirements and advise the best way to fulfil these with the data and tools available.
Reporting and Analytics
Effectively maintain and / or update analytical tools, databases, dashboards, systems, or methods.
Continuously ensure that all data is consistent, readily available and accurate.
Conduct efficient ongoing analytics of performance such as targets, payment methods, etc.
Extract data frommultiple sources and translate into business needs
Develop a thorough understanding of the data available to maximise the benefit of the insight gained.
Ensure the timely development and / or presentation of reports and analytics to various stakeholders.
Design, enhance, and distribute reports that clearly communicate business results.
Qualifications and Exprerience
Relevant qualification : Computer Science / Mathematic / Statistics Degree or relevant Diploma
3 years’ experience in a similar role (consumer credit or telecomms environment advantageous)
Advanced SQL / SAS and / or related programming concepts / tools
Advanced Excel skills, including proficiency in power pivot
Understanding and use of a decision agent (i.e. Triad, Power Curve etc.) advantageous.
