The Business Systems and Technology Department (BSTD) is continuously evolving and optimising the IT landscape. We have an immediate requirement for a Senior Project Manager to provide an end-to-end management of the Enterprise Information Management (EIM) Division through the application of best practice and tailored methodologies and disciplines.

The Senior Project Manager will function under the supervision of the EIM Divisional Head. The Senior Project Manager must have strong experience in managing information and data management related Projects.

Minimum qualification Required : Minimum of 5 7 years project management in related roleCandidate must have sufficient experience in planning and executing strategically aligned projects in the banking industryPre- Requisite requirementPrevious experience managing Information Technology ProjectsPrevious experience in managing large projects that are strategically aligned to BusinessPrevious experience in engaging and managing cross departmental project.

Previous experience Information / Data Management ProjectsThe following will be an added advantage : Professional Project Management CertificationA thorough understanding of the nine knowledge areas contained in the Guide to Project Management Book of Knowledge (PMBOK) and / or Prince IIGood understanding of data management knowledge areas Competencies : Customer Service orientationA high level of written and spoken EnglishAnalytical skillsThe ability to compile own presentations and proposalsExcellent communication and Presentation skillsComputer literacy, especially in the Microsoft Office products, including MS ProjectThe ability to work in teams, manage people, resolve conflict(manage different personalities and frustrations level of self and othersAbility to work under pressureQuality assurance knowledge and skillsContinuous improvement knowledge and skillsProject management knowledge and skillsProject planning knowledge and skillsGive recommendations and advice based on the status of projectsUnderstand and interpret interdependencies of all projectsQualifications / Certification : A minimum of a B degree / Advanced Diploma OR equivalentFormal project management qualification / certification will be an addedKey deliverables : Managing multiple projects from inception through to implementation.

Report on project status to different stakeholdersFacilitate and co-ordinate milestone deliverables and activities of all projectsApply strategy processes, design and execution.

Produce project management plans that includes scope, quality, risk, time, cost, HR, procurement, integration and communication, and to ensure that these are regularly updated and maintained.

Direct and coordinate activities of project team members to ensure the project progresses according to the approved schedule, producing the expected deliverables, within budget and according to specification and quality standardsEnsure that all project documentation, deliverables and reports are timeously produced, approved and distributed.

  • Establish and manage relationships with all stakeholders, role players and service providersEstablish and effectively manage a project team;
  • clearly defining roles and responsibilities for the delivery of project outputs.
