Who We Are : DataEQ is a data technology business on a mission to improve how big businesses serve their customers. We do this by helping them find, analyze and prioritise their most important customer interactions.

We are a global company headquartered in London, with offices in South Africa (our home market) and the Middle East. We are looking for an Account Director who is commercially minded, charismatic, and creative with a proven track record in software or research sales or account management.

We don't measure success by your former job titles but instead by what you achieved in those positions.The Role : Were looking for an experienced Account Director to join our South African Business Development team.

We would like the person to be based in Johannesburg or Cape Town. However, as we are a remote working company, we will consider candidates in other will be responsible for managing a portfolio of some of our biggest clients spanning Financial Services, Retail, Insurance, Telcos and others as needed.

  • Requirements : YOU WILL HAVE : Experience forging relationships at the highest level in big B2C businesses Financial Services, Insurance, Retail, Telcos in particularDemonstrable experience in enterprise sales and account management, including managing a strategic revenue-generating portfolioA passion for and strong understanding of technology - particularly all things data and AIStrong commercial negotiation skills at C-suite or senior stakeholder levelAnalytical problem-solving skills and attention to detailOutstanding written and oral communication skillsThe ability to work flexibly in a fast-paced, performance-orientated environmentA curious, always-learning personalityGlowing references from those you worked with in the pastYOU WILL BE : A target-driven, determined and energetic self-starterA fantastic networkerExposed to senior decision-makers at large corporations, across multiple industriesA collaborative colleague who builds strong relationships internally as well as externallyExcited by the scale and potential of the DataEQ visionAble to travel locally (frequently) and internationally (on occasion)An exceptional relationship builder, highly persuasive and excellent at getting things doneAn effective communicator;
  • when you talk, people listen (in person and on email)Able to talk confidently to senior executives and effect key decisionsWilling to embrace all aspects of working in a fast-growing business, from managing day-to-day admin, to presenting at conferences or pitching CXOs from some of SAs biggest blue-chip companies EXTRA CREDIT IF YOU : Have team management / leadership experience Have Customer Experience, Customer Service and / or Market Conduct regulatory experience Have a senior network in Financial Services / Insurance / Telcos / Retail in South Africa Speak multiple languages Our business development team is made up of experienced Account Directors and outstanding salespeople.
