Assistant Financial Manager - Motor Trade Industry (national dealerships)Market Related Our client a large group of companies and motor dealerships seeks an Assistant Financial Manager to join their team.

The succesful candidate will already be in the motor industry as an Assistant FM.Due the company's BBBEE regulations, preference is given to suitable EE candidates for this role.

Minimum requirements : Tertiary qualification - finance / accounting related, advantageousMust have Autoline and / or Drive experienceHyperion experience advantageousMinimum of 3 years' finance experience in same or similar roles within the motor industry a MUSTValid driver's licenceDeadline driven individual who can work independently and as part of a teamMotor Vehicle dealership Experience a MUST!Advance experience in Microsoft ExcellGeneral knowledge of generally accepted accounting policiesMust be able to travel on a national basis Responsibilities : Custodian of company assetsAssessing potential risk timorouslyEnsuring company policies and procedures are adhered toTrading Accounts : Check that accurate Flash Reports are sent by the 3rd working day of the month, before 17 : 00Check that branches are balancing their D O C to the trading accounts on both units and valuesCheck trading accounts -

investigate excessive expenditureCheck GP %'sCheck ratios parts days, new and used stock daysCheck that the Add Info is correct and submitWhere problems are picked up -

assess where it went wrong, inform / train staff on ensuring it does not get repeatedIdentify any potential risks to company, report to management and put in procedures to prevent from happening in futureDebtors : Vehicle debtors to be reviewed on a regular basisCheck the Credit Note reports for any manipulationsOpen Debtors to be followed up on a regular basis and queries attended to Inter-

co debtors to be followed up and monies collected by deadlineGet involved with Importers and FM's of other divisions where there are problemsEnsure that all vehicles are delivered by the last working day and if not delivered, that the invoice is credited on last working dayAll new debtors' applications to be reviewedGeneral : Assist with all Budgets, as well as do the necessary consolidated schedules requiredRequired to stand in and / or support when the RFM is on leave or absent for whatever reasonPut in the systems deemed necessary to streamline processes -

where you see shortcomingsRequired to visit branches, on a regular weekly and monthly basisAssist with various AD HOC reporting for Head OfficeRequired to have regular meetings with your Regional Financial ManagerCommunication within your complete region -

of all issuesAssist with the training of all Regional Admin staff in all aspects that ariseAssist with and do various weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting to the Regional Director and to Head OfficeAssist with the full Financial Yearend processes to ensure that everything is covered and reported correctlyAssist with the preparation of data / information for the Quarterly Board Pack and Quarterly Risk MeetingImplementing new company policies and procedures as instructed or discussedConsolidation of results for DealershipsVisiting dealerships to ensure that all policies and procedures are adhered to and that segregation of duties is adhered toTo develop Systems and reports that easily assist Management in the management of their businessesEnsuring accuracy of all Dealerships' Monthly commissions and authorizationBe actively involved in Internal and External audit reportingReviewing monthly General Ledger audit filesAssisting Dealer Principals and Accountants with queriesEnsuring payments are made timeously and accurately with correct authorisations in placeEnsuring that expenses are recognized in correct periods and disclosed correctlyEnsuring completeness, validity and accuracy of provisions and accrualsEnsure that all Company assets are managed properly (vehicle stock takes weekly, Daily parts perpetuals, two wall-

to-wall stock takes annually, two fixed assets counts annually, NATIS' & key controls)Ensure that costs are controlled, analysis and all cost savings are achievedTo review the month-

end files for each dealership on a monthly basis and ensure that there are no anomalies on the balance sheet accounts and that any queries are resolved in a timeouts mannerCarry out additional reasonable duties from time to time at the discretion of managementShould your application be short-
