We are looking for an Solutions / Application Architect to join team IOCO , the position is based in the Northern Suburbs and focused in the Financial Services Industry.

Responsible for the overall management of the function that determines the technology direction to support the business.

Creates an infrastructure that can support the required products, services and delivery mechanisms. Defining the target enterprise (group-wide) architecture from Technology (inc.

Application), Integration and Data viewpoints by following a process of facilitation and collaboration with a variety of Align with and enable the enterprise (group-wide) Business, Information and Security architecture, Align with relevant industry frameworks Implementation view, specifying products, frameworks Define a sound digital ecosystem design Defining the reference solutions architecture for the Group (defining the allowable patterns for solutions architecting) Translating and / or aligning group strategy into and with the technology-oriented architecture.

Custodian of the Group’s overall implementation architecture. Alignment of the domain architectures. Defining, articulating, defending, promoting and overseeing implementation of the Group’s architecture principles.

The custodianship of the Group-wide Applications and technology products portfolio, the applications architecture principles and the Group applications strategy.

Custodianship of the technology reference architecture. Participation in gated reviews on Businesses’ projects to ensure architectural alignment and to stay in touch with reality.

Participation in Business projects where there is significant Group-level value to be had. Architect and design the enablement of the shared capabilities that will enable the group’s strategy.

Successful collaboration with other architects and analysts. Create the agile enterprise by ensuring design and implementation of shared technology products adhere to agile requirements and principles.

Custodian of the Group’s Enterprise Architecting methodology for the technology, integration and data views. Providing overall direction, guidance and definition of the IT Ecosystem required to effectively support the corporate business strategy.

Technology, applications, integration and data dimensions of the agreed target Enterprise (group level) Architecture Principles, reference architecture and high-level solutions architecture to enable capabilities.

Relevant Data, Technology, Security and Integration architecture artefacts. Maintaining the target technology architecture.

Assessing progress in the Businesses regarding digital exploitation from group strategy and architecture perspectives. Identification, articulation and assessment of architecture-related risks.

Monitoring of group-wide Applications, Technology and integration architecture. Measuring and reporting on progress re. standardisation and sharing.

Guidance regarding architecting emerging technologies. Influencing and documenting Group and group-wide Applications strategy.

High level business cases for standardisation and / or consolidation. Custodian of Group data model. Business case development support.

Group Enterprise Architecting methodology At least 5 years’ experience in translating business strategy and architecture into capabilities, principles and technology requirements At least 3 years Enterprise Architecting in Life Insurance and Investment Management or not less than 5 years Enterprise Architecting across several industries is preferred Alternatively, more than 7 years’ experience across multiple architecture domains (these being business, information / data, application, technology, security and integration architecture domains) At least 3 years architecting client experience management solutions 3 years Leading the thought process and the delivery of Architects 3 years developing rule-based governance (frameworks, policies & principles) At least 5 years’ experience in translating business strategy and architecture into capabilities, principles and technology requirements At least 3 years Enterprise Architecting in Life Insurance and Investment Management or not less than 5 years Enterprise Architecting across several industries is preferred Alternatively, more than 7 years’ experience across multiple architecture domains (these being business, information / data, application, technology, security and integration architecture domains) At least 3 years architecting client experience management solutions 3 years Leading the thought process and the delivery of Architects 3 years developing rule-based governance (frameworks, policies & principles)
